Japan #8 – Useful Signage

HOSPITAL

Taken outside the front of a hospital – please admit yourself if you experience triangles bursting out of your leg, shoulder, arse or knee….

TRAIN HAT MAN

If a little girl drops her hat over the train tracks, a nice man in a hat will pick it up with a very long stick.

TOILET GUIDE

Maps are very important for tourists, Japan has an abundance of tourist guides and maps….even a map of the toilets…just in case you get lost.

LADIES ONLY

Boarding point for ladies only.

FOOT CARE

Yeah, make sure you take care of that foot of yours…

HEALTH WARMING

I agree, trying to smoke your seat would be a very bad idea.

WATER NOTICE (ie: Only water comes out)

Thanks for the notice…because I wasn't sure of what to expect to come out of a tap...on top of a basin...in a bathroom (!)

DISABILITIES CHART

You are disabled if you are –
on crutches,
carrying a small child,
pregnant,
using a cane,
performing a magic trick which involves raising a person on a board, or
having a cross tattooed on your stomach.

NO PARKING

Sign on the streets of Kyoto…do not park your bike or chart?

UNCAGED ANIMALS

Sign outside of a shopping centre, but I saw a lady carry her dog into the store in her handbag so I guess it is ok to take animals in as along as you have confined them and they are not at liberty to roam freely.

BEWEAR

Taken outside of the International Manga Museum…unfortunately we didn’t see any angry caterpillars.

NO DOING STUFF WHILE YOU WALK

Not only do the Japanese discourage eating while walking but you shouldn’t be smoking while you are walking either!

WTF?

  1. I thought the picture on the hospital was a man farting. but then i saw a picture of a man with sore knees and knees can't fart. I would be fucked in Japan.
